Every Friday, we like to feature a new event going on in the local area over the weekend. This allows our readers to get out of the house and enjoy all of the wonderful things going on in Central Wisconsin. The Weekend Beat is updated weekly, so always check back here to find out what’s going on.
This weekend, the Arts Alliance of Portage County is collaborating with the downtown businesses in Stevens Point. They will be presenting ArtsWalk on Friday, May 16th. The downtown area will be displaying and selling artwork within many storefronts. There will be several varieties of art, music, poetry, and kid’s art to experience.
In front of Shopko, the Bas Hub Stage will feature the Mass Guitar Incident. You will be able to experience a mixture of musicians performing the same songs. People are even encouraged to bring their own guitar and join in on the fun.
You will be able to view all of the pieces of art from emerging artists within our community. Many artists will also be selling their pieces.
ArtsWalk is FREE of charge and open to the public. The event is fun for all ages, so don’t hesitate to bring the whole family. ArtsWalk begins at 5:00pm and goes until 8:00pm.
