Vinaigrette Recipe

As our gardens begin to flourish, hopefully, the first vegetables that seem to sprout or I get in our CSA(community supported agriculture) is a lot of lettuce and mixed greens.  I like to make new types of vinaigrettes or dressings to put on my salads to keep them interesting and so I do not get tired of the same type of lettuce or mixed greens.  I like to put fruit like strawberries or even pears on the salad and change up the other vegetables on it or the cheese can completely change the taste of it.  I like this very simple recipe with only a couple of ingredients.  It tastes great on any type of salad.  spinach-arugula-cranberry-walnut-salad.jpg

Ingredients:

½ cup extra virgin olive oil

½ cup balsamic vinegar (your favorite kind is fine no matter the color)

1 clove crushed garlic

Salt and Pepper to taste

Mix the ingredients together and toss or drizzle onto your salad. This is simple, but tastes delicious on all types of salads and greens!  Make it and let me know what you think or what your favorite dressing is!
