Thrifty Thursday: Saving on Insurance

It’s Thrifty Thursday once again, and since we are nearing the end of the year, there’s no better way to save money than by reviewing your insurance policies.

Going over your policies with one of our agents can help you find ways to save money.  You might have coverage on you policy that you don’t need anymore, such as having a son or daughter listed as a driver on your auto insurance when they do not live at home anymore.

There might also be some discounts that you are eligible for and do not currently have on your policy.  Some discounts include:

  • Good student discount
  • Volunteer firefighter discount
  • Paid member of an alumni association
  • Classic car association
  • And more!

Your insurance agent will be able to tell you more about these discounts and if you qualify to receive any.

It’s also a good idea to go over your policies to make sure you have enough protection on your belongings.  Have you purchased any new, expensive jewelry?  Do you own expensive electronics?  You should ask your agent about scheduling these items on your homeowners policy to make sure they have fully protected.

Contacting your Wisconsin insurance agent to go over your policies should be on your to-do list for the end of the year.  If not, make a New Year’s resolution to check if you can save money on your insurance.  Our agents are looking forward to hearing from you!
