Money always seems to be an area of concern for people, so we are excited to announce that we will now feature a money-saving tip on our blog every Thursday. Welcome to Thrifty Thursday!
For our first Thrifty Thursday, we thought we would recap money-saving blog posts that we’ve had in the past. Back in March, we shared ways you could save money by highlighting uses for the very inexpensive product of baking soda. From brightening your smile to de-greasing your oven, the uses for baking soda seem endless. For the cost of less than a dollar for a box, you really can’t go wrong with using baking soda around your home. Check out this blog post for more baking soda secrets.
Another inexpensive item that you can use for a multitude of purposes is petroleum jelly. We highlighted several uses for petroleum jelly in this post, including ways to soften baseball gloves and quiet noisy drawers. How do you use petroleum jelly?
We also featured a blog post on ways to cut back on unnecessary costs. Do you really need cable TV when you can watch many shows online? Did you know that your local library has a great selection of movies that you can rent for free? You can also save money by asking your Wisconsin insurance agent to look over your insurance policies and see if there’s any way to lower your premium through different coverage limits or discounts for which you qualify.
The last four months of the year can be pricey: back-to-school season, football parties, Halloween costumes, Thanksgiving meals, and of course holiday shopping. Cutting back in any unnecessary costs will help you save money for all these other expenses and maybe even give you a surplus in your budget!
