Our Chili Cookoff on Friday, November 9th was a big hit! We had 8 entries from our team members and they were all delicious; I don’t know how our attendees were able to narrow it down to the top 3! The results are in and the 2012 Community Insurance Chili Champion is… (drum-roll please)
Wanda Draeger, who cooked up a delicious batch of White Chicken Chili! Congratulations to Wanda, who chose to donate the money to the Cancer Society.
Our generous attendees helped us raise $220 for charity, which we then matched for a total of $440. Since we were able to raise this much, we decided we would split up the money for the top 3 recipes. Wanda was in 1st place, and $200 will be donated to the Cancer Society. Owner and agent Phil Martin came in 2nd place, and $125 will be donated to his choice of charity which was the Tomorrow River Area Community Kitchen (also known as TRACK). Third place goes to our agent Chuck Gamm, and $65 will be donated to his charity pick, Mobility 4 Vets. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all who participated!
