What? You’ve never heard of National Roof Over Your Head Day? I feel like we should have had the day off to dwell on this national day in history. Well, maybe that is a little too far. However, I think it’s important to remember how lucky many of us are to have a place to call home or a warm bed to sleep in at night.

The homeowner population in the United States is right around 66%. Homeowners typically have a beneficial impact on their surrounding community. According to the Bakersfield Realtor Magazine, “Studies show that home ownership has a significant positive impact on net worth, educational achievement, civic participation, health and overall quality of life.”
As you are admiring the wonderful roof over your head today. Remember how important it is to keep your home safe and protected. Having a homeowners policy can protect you from damage to the structure of your home, replacement costs, loss of personal possessions, living expenses in case of a disaster, and liability. There is also a variety of supplemental insurance policies you can add to your plan. Even if you are not a homeowner, remember how important it is to keep your items protected.
