With the new hype of Pinterest people are having nights
filled with crafts.  It use to be that
mostly younger or older women were doing craft projects, but now it seems
everyone you know is working on something, whether it is for the house or for a
gift.  However, with life still being
fast paced many craft projects go undone.
We have piles of yarn waiting to be knit or paint we bought to make that
cool frame, but the final product is nowhere to be found.  Instead of starting many different projects I
find it easiest to start one that will take much more time (learning how to
knit) and while I am working on that I also implement shorter projects
(collages) so I am not working on too many crafts at one time.

A great way to get fresh ideas can also be to just simply
look around your house.  My mom always
used to say I was so creative and that she wanted some of that.  Yet, she would use an old wooden training
toilet as a flowerpot in her house.  You
do not have to have a green thumb or be “crafty” anymore to be creative.  Styles like vintage or eclectic are very in
right now so it is easy to take something simple you have already at home and
add a little piece of your personality to make an entirely new piece.

So many different styles and ways to spruce up your home now
and the best way is to make it look like you.
Put a little bit of yourself and a tad of love and you will be able to
do anything.  I made these wall pillows (pictured below) to add depth to my walls out of tac board, fabric, pillow stuffing, and hot glue.  There were very simple and easy, yet look great with the rest of my decor. I plan
to add a quote and pictures to this area as well to really give it some extra
body.  Though this may not be something
you would want to do in your home it is just one idea to get your juices
flowing on ways you can add your own special touch to your home décor.
