High Prices Hit Pumps Once Again

As gas prices reach the highest they’ve ever been in January and February of any year, consumers are forced to pay incredible prices at the pump.  But why are gas prices so high, anyway?

There are a number of causes that add together to push gas prices higher.  Gas prices normally increase as spring and summer are on their way, but prices this year are jumping sooner and more than in past years.

Another reason that Americans are used to hearing is that relations in and with the Middle East greatly affect gas prices.  Tension between Israel and Iran have added worries to future gas prices and some analysts say that prices will continue to climb through May due to unstable relations in the Middle East.

However, the Middle East isn’t the only region of the world causing gas prices to soar; growing demands for gasoline in Asia and South America, combined with an improving economy in the United States also feed into the higher gas prices.  Who knew that a recovering economy could mean bad news to some Americans?

Fortunately, not all car-related expenses have to be as complicated or stressful as gas prices.  Our agents at Community Insurance will help create a Wisconsin car insurance policy that’s right for you and your budget.  You don’t even have to use a drop of gas to talk to one of our knowledgeable agents—simply call us or visit our Web site for more information!
