The drive began on Monday, March 3rd and will continue until Sunday, March 30th. The “Help for the Homeless” hygiene drive will help stock the shelves of over 80 local homeless and crisis assistance programs. The community that you drop-off your donation in is the community in which the items will remain.

Below is a list of the items that the local shelters and programs will be able to use.

There are several local organizations that will receive the items donated from the “Help for the Homeless” drive. In Marshfield the organizations receiving items include Mary’s Place Boarding House, Soup or Socks, and St. Vincent de Paul. In the Waupaca area; CAP Services, the Foundations for Living, Ruby’s Pantry, and the Waupaca Food Pantry. The Neighbor’s Place and Partner Agencies will receive donations in the Wausau area.

You can bring donation items to participating Shopko Stores, Walgreens, and Festival Food’s Stores. Remember, you have until March 30th to donate items. The “Help for the Homeless” drive will help support the local people struggling to find these basic care items. Any contributions on the list above will be appreciated by local crisis organizations.
