Our very own agent Al Breitenfeldt is finishing up his last few weeks as President of the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) of Wisconsin. All of us here at Community Insurance are very proud of Al and his accomplishments not only in his last year as President, but in all his years as an agent as well. Here are some thoughts from Al about his year as President:
What was your favorite part about being President of the PIA?
Wow kind of tough to have just one favorite part because there are many, but I think it is the great people that I have met and gotten to know, from agents all over the country to our members here in Wisconsin. It really is a great group of dedicated volunteers. The support we receive from our company partners is also great. The chance to go to Washington DC and Madison and meet with our elected officials and truly make a difference are also favorite memories I will keep.
What will you miss the most about being President?
The people I have met and worked with. Fellow board members that I will see less often, and company people that provide great support.
Anything else you would like to add about your Presidency?
Thank you to everyone from our office who helped make this possible by allowing me to be gone to meetings and take phone calls and messages for me. I am very proud of the fact that the PIA of Wisconsin is so well respected on a National Level. What we have done and continue to do for our members on State and National level regarding legislation that not only helps our members, but our customers as well is amazing to witness. Being able to provide $15,000 of scholarships to our young people as a result of the combined effort of our company partners and members is another item I am proud of. The great job our members do in supporting not only their communities but also the association is wonderful. Overall this has been such a fantastic experience.
