Document Damage for a Wisconsin Insurance Policy Claim

You are protected by a reliable Wisconsin insurance policy, but what happens when you need to file a claim?  Nobody wants to be involved in a car accident or have their home damaged, but these events do occur, so it is always good to know what to do in these situations.

One of the most important things you can do is document what took place.  Take pictures, jot down notes, even record video of the car accident, home damage, or whatever you are filing your claim for.  If you are involved in an accident with another driver, get their information and their insurance company’s or agent’s information.  You should also give the other driver your Wisconsin auto insurance information.

After documenting the claim scene, contact your Wisconsin insurance agent as soon as possible.  Our agents at Community Insurance are here to help you get your life back to normal as quickly and easily as we can.  Any information you can provide for us will make our job easier, so documenting any damage really is an important step to take.

Summer storm season has already begun and is only going to get worse as we get deeper into the season.  Make sure your Wisconsin insurance policies are protecting you and contact us whenever you need to make a claim or if you want to look over your policies!
